Why have house rules?

We have provided a set of house rules for the enjoyment and management of your accommodation.  It is also an integral part of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 have the same house rules.

It is your responsibilty, as one of the residents, to abide by the House Rules at all times while within the property

House Rules

Emergency:

Call Tripple Zero (000) immediately for Fire, Police or Ambulance

A powder Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket are located in the kitchen area.

Covid-19:

If you suspect you have Covid-19 symptoms put on a Face Mask, Isolate yourself, and Inform your house mates and Landlord Immediately.

Resident and guest behaviour:

The resident and their guests must not interfere with the reasonable peace, comfort and privacy of other residents.

Maintenance of rooms:

The resident must maintain their room in a way that does not create a fire and/or health hazard. The resident must not intentionally or recklessly damage or destroy any part of their room or a facility in their room.

Common areas:

These include the Bathroom, Toilet, Kitchen, Lounge/Dining room, Gardens, Washing line, and concreted areas such as driveway and patio.

The resident must ensure they, and their guests, leave common areas neat, clean and tidy after use.

Guests:

The resident must make sure their guests are aware of, and follow, these House Rules.

Access to resident’s room:

Never enter other resident’s room without their permission.  You must not disturb the other resident’s quiet enjoyment of their room.

Door locks and keys:

The resident must not tamper with (or change) a door lock on the property, or make copies of keys

Safety & Security:

Washing machine, Lights and Air Conditioners are to be turned off when leaving the property.  Close windows and lock doors.

Animals:

The resident must not keep an animal on the property.
